NEWS UPDATE SPRING 2021

Our 2021 league campaign starts on 15th May at home against Monks Risborough. You can follow our progress, and get information about Coleshill Cricket, from our web site: https://coleshillcc.play-cricket.com

Our junior section up and running under the new stewardship of James Gilchrist, who has taken over the reins from Guy Cornelius. Our thanks go to Guy for all his hard work over the last 5 years and to James for taking on this critical role for the Club.

By early May we should have the Edwards Pavilion refurnished and ready for action.  We’re replacing the old score box and installing an electronic scoreboard, and the new practice net, together with an all-weather strip on the edge of the square, should also be in place some time in June.  Our thanks go to Gerrards Cross based design and construction company TSL Ltd for the clubhouse refurbishment, to the village for donations for the refurnishing and HS2 for funding the other projects.

One thing that we are determined to do after 21st June, when lockdown rules are lifted, is to throw a new pavilion launch party.  It may be that we combine it with our traditional Vice Presidents’ cheese and wine event and expand it to the whole village, but we’ll wait to see how the easing of the restrictions go before we make firm plans. We will let you know about this, and any other social events, as soon as we can.

Finally, like all clubs we very much need new blood and I know that the village has seen an influx of new residents over the autumn and winter. So, if there is anyone who is interested in joining the Club as a senior or junior player, please do get in touch via our website: coleshillcc.play-cricket.com

As ever, thank you for your support.

Andrew Aylett
